In 1940, the original Gramercy Five’s biggest hit was ‘Summit Ridge Drive’, but Shaw dissolved the band early 1941. Summit Ridge Drive was one of Shaw’s million-selling records. Around 1939 Artie owned a 4,000 sq. ft. home at 1426 Summit Ridge Drive in Beverly Hills where he and Lana Turner lived during their short marriage.
