A 21,000 sq ft mansion on Summit Drive in Los Angeles where Artie Shaw and Lana Turner once lived listed for $46.5 million

The hilltop property on Summit Ridge Drive was purchased by Shaw in 1939, and was his primary residence during his brief marriage to Lana Turner in 1940.

According to the book “Artie Shaw, King of the Clarinet: His Life and Times” by Tom Nolan, this mansion was named in one of Shaw’s most popular songs, “Summit Ridge Drive,” which was written and rehearsed at the house.
